PR Event: A Day At The Museum

“A DAY IN THE MUSEUM” πŸ‡ΆπŸ‡¦
A PR Event
05th October 2019

Ever since new Executive Committee set forth for the Toastmaster Year 2019-2020 and the ever-smiling and enthusiastic Cj Rojas took over the rein as the VP PR, the club has been flooded with a plethora of ideas aimed to take the rich legacy of Filcom International Toastmasters Club to greater heights.

What a better place to kick start Filcom’s very first PR activity than the newly carved jewel in the heart of Doha - the National Museum of Qatar. The club's PR Committee arranged a visit to the National Museum of Qatar for all the members along with their family and friends. It was truly an awesome experience to walk through an architectural marvel, a museum built in a desert rose shape.

Following the lead of the tour guide - Mr. Amine, participants seamlessly traveled through time and had a glimpse of the ancient life in Qatar - the life in the Peninsula, the Marine life, and the Stone Age; depicting all the shades of Qatar's economy and way of life. Walking through all the 9 gallerias, participants get to know the history of Qatar and the way of life of people and how they have flourished as a country from fishing, diving for pearls, and now a top exporter of Petroleum Gas.

It was truly an inspirational journey: walking with hardships in the desert, being resilient amidst economic fluctuations, and making something big and noble out of those experiences is truly an act of courage and real nationalism. After every setback, Qatar has truly risen like a Phoenix from the ashes.
